Welcome to the quarterly Babywise Week! Each day this week will feature a different babywise friendly network blogger with a special blog on Friday. Here is this week’s schedule:
Monday: Valerie from The Babywise Mom
Tuesday: Maureen from Childwise Chat
Wednesday: Bethany from The Graceful Mom
Thursday: Hank from DaddyLife
Friday: Guest blogger
Today Valerie writes about a topic that each of us has or will probably have to address…what life is like with multiple children. She describes how life changed after adding one child compared to three and then four children. As always, Valerie is very straightforward and honest about her experience. She gives due credit to how hard it is adding the first baby…the surprise, the challenges, but then she describes how rich and rewarding her life has been with multiple children. How it is even easier in several ways! She also reminds us of the joys of having one child If you are struggling with the decision to have more children or appreciating being a first-time mom, this post is a must read! Valerie is such a mentor to me and she puts to words to beautifully how to truly value and appreciate your children…no matter how many you have or how difficult it may seem.
Here are some of my favorite quotes:
Yes, there are challenges to multiple children, but having four children is not four times harder than having one child.
Another point, and possible caveat, is to not overlook the importance of training your children while they are young. My children can be self-sustaining because I have taught them to be.
