I have decided, on a whim, to give up sweets for a month…30 days…conveniently planned to end right before Halloween. I have thought about doing it before, but reading the recent post from The Pioneer Women inspired me. Ok, it made me feel guilty, not necessarily inspired, LOL. As a working mom, I need every ounce of energy and I also need to stay health through cold/flu season. I also work in a hospital so there is even more of a chance for me to get sick if I get run down. I am not a huge sweets person but my coworkers and I can devour a bag of M&Ms within minutes. If it is there, it is hard for me to turn it down.
I am not giving up sugar, exclusively, but anything considered cake, candy, cookie, or > 12 g sugar per serving will be off limits. Here is to 30 days of eating better, feeling better, and getting in better shape!
