I will never forget my aunt’s advice from almost five years ago. She was working full time after having my cousin and learned the hard way that men focus on one task…the big picture. They don’t see all of the little tasks and details. She encouraged me to remember that when I had my children and couldn’t understand why my husband didn’t see the cob webs in the corner or the dog hair on the floor. It’s taken me a few years to really appreciate her advice but I still struggle with how to understand things from my husbands’s perspective.
Today Hank writes a helpful post into the mind of a dad…when it’s past bed time…when it’s obvious what still needs to be done. He offers hints to us on how to truly motivate our husbands. My favorite line from his post:
We just need things spelled out in many colors of crayon sometimes.
Thanks, Hank! We love husband tips! Read the rest of the post in its entirety on Daddy Life.
